Coprosma propinqua

Mingimingi

Coprosma propinqua is a divaricating shrub growing to 1-2m in height. It is found in swampy areas and near streams throughout New Zealand from sea level to 460m. The leaves are very small and oblong, and the berries are a translucent blue. It will grow in full sun or semi-shade but must have plenty of moisture. It is useful for revegetation and for landscaping projects.
