Hebe albicans is found in rocky montane areas in Nelson. This Hebe is a good plant for cold climates. It forms a compact shrub to 45-60cm and has very attractive glaucous foliage up to 3m long and closely packed. The white flowers have purple anthers and are crowded in small racemes during summer and autumn. H. albicans ‘Boulder Lake’ is a prostrate form that makes a good groundcover.
