Giant rush, leafless rush, juncus macrostigma
Juncus pallidus is a tall strong growing rush, forming dense clumps of pale blue green foliage up to 1-2m tall, found throughout New Zealand. It can have a striking presence in the garden, where it is best contained in some manner on account of its vigorous nature. It is better suited to larger scale plantings in wetlands and riparian areas.
