Libertia ixioides

Mikoikoi, New Zealand iris

Libertia ixioides is found throughout New Zealand. This plant has narrow yellow/green variegated flax like leaves which develop into a clump 50cm tall. In spring the plants bear white 3 petalled flowers up to 3cm in diameter followed by bright yellow seed pods. Very attractive and hardy landscaping plant.
