Climate: Pinus radiata can grow in all climates, cold, moderate, warm. But they don’t like humid summers, they prefer dry summer periods. They are wind and salt wind tolerant but can crack in strong winds such as storms.  They are snow resistant. Sites that may experience very low temperatures, heavy snow or hail aren’t suitable for Pinus radiata.
