Hebe diosmifolia is a very appealing but somewhat variable shrub found in scrub and forest in Northland. The most common form in cultivation grows to about 50cm and has narrow glossy dark green leaves. In early spring the plant is smothered with small flower heads of tiny white to pale lavender flowers. This is a very hardy hebe. A dwarf form growing to just 30cm is sometimes available.
