Auranga is an ambitious 83ha project at Drury West consisting of 2,650 dwellings, walkable, bike-able streets, and lush landscaping.

Developers selected the site for its nature appeal - a place that had a natural beauty and mana. They recognised that, with careful restoration, it would become a platform of nature - an environment that perfectly blended the demands of modern day living with a desire for nature’s natural ability for giving.

Ecosystem – Blending ecosystems

The project is a mix of the urban ecosystem – a thoughtfully designed, purpose-built community - and the existing wetland and estuarine wetland systems. Kauri Park’s role in this project included supplying plants, planting, and maintaining the ecological buffer zones where high-density housing and development sit alongside an estuarine ecosystem.

Ecovitalism – Passionate about restoration

At Kauri Park we never miss an opportunity - not only to make everyone’s lives greener, but to ensure that every space we touch is restored with the right plants. Plants that are native to the area that have been eco-sourced and nurtured in our nurseries under conditions that mimic their final destination resulting in flourishing environments that reach canopy quicker. And our job isn’t done until they become self-sufficient and thriving ecosystems.

Kauri Park

At Kauri Park, plant by plant, we’re growing a future for New Zealand.
