Auckland Regional Parks
Auckland’s coastal regional parks are truly a slice of ecological paradise, and Kauri Park is proud to have worked on projects in Duder, Waitawa and Tapapakanga on Auckland’s east coast, planting native revegetation to restore these beautiful ecosystems.
The Lakes Tauriko
The Lakes in Tauriko is an innovative, residential development in the Bay of Plenty which includes 2450 sections and took over 4 years to complete. Kauri Park was awarded the planting project based on the scale of our nursery, quality of plants, supporting infrastructure, and our ability to deliver.
Te Ara Nui o Te Rangihaeata – Transmission Gully
Achieving good long-term environmental outcomes was a big part of the Transmission Gully project, a 27km long, four lane stretch of motorway north of Wellington, and Kauri Park’s planting of 2.5 million plants played a significant role in the results.
Drury Eco Islands
Drury is the new gateway to Auckland south. The mixed-use developments are designed to combine community and industry with the natural world. The projects integrate homes with business hubs consisting of retail and commercial services.
Ness Valley
We were engaged by three separate private landowners to supply, plant, and maintain plantings along the Ness Valley in South Auckland. This project restored life to local ecosystems and provided commercial benefit to our clients by creating subdivisional lots for future use.
Ararimu Downs
This project, on beautiful farmland in the Ararimu District, illustrates perfectly how proactive planting can mitigate the impact of development. It consisted of planting 68,000 plants along 3.7km of the Ararimu stream.
Taranaki Regional Council
Kauri Park are proud to have been involved in Taranaki Regional Council’s globally acclaimed project to prepare their waterways for future generations.
Thomas Road – An Urban Forest.
The preservation of Auckland’s urban forest is vital to protect biodiversity and ecosystem services, mitigate climate change, and enhance human well-being. This project to create a 2.3km green urban corridor linking Flat Bush to Barry Curtis Park, demonstrates perfectly how this can be achieved.
