Carex flagellifera green

Carex flagellifera green is an attractive green coloured sedge. It grows to about 50cm tall, with a somewhat drooping appearance, and the narrow leaves have scabrous margins. The flowering stems grow longer and lie across the ground as they mature. It is found growing in a range of conditions throughout New Zealand but prefers a sunny spot with reasonable moisture levels.
